Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the My Loyalty Cards app (hereby referred to as "Application") created by ArcMedPOP Gheorghe Nicusor (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
1. Data Storage & Infrastructure
To provide a seamless experience across devices, the Application utilizes a dual-storage architecture:
- Local Storage (Offline): The Application stores your loyalty card data (names, barcode raw values, and categories) in a local SQLite database on your mobile device for offline access.
- Cloud Sync (Online): The Application uses Google Firebase / Firestore to synchronize your data. This ensures that if you change devices, your cards remain available.
2. Information Collection and Use
For the purpose of account synchronization and security, the Service Provider collects:
- Authentication Data: Provided via Firebase Authentication (Email address, User ID, and Display Name/Photo if using Google Sign-In).
- Loyalty Card Data: Digital representations of your physical cards, including brand names, barcode strings (stored as Base64 encoded data), and usage timestamps.
- Device Information: Basic analytics such as operating system version and crash logs to improve Application stability.
- Camera Access: The Application requires access to your device's camera to scan physical barcodes. Camera frames are processed locally on your device to extract barcode data and are never uploaded to our servers or stored as images.
- ML Kit (On-Device): We use Google ML Kit for barcode recognition. This processing happens entirely on your device. ML Kit may use basic diagnostic data (e.g., performance metrics) but does not send your photos or scans to Google.
- Advertising Identifiers: The Application uses AdMob, which may collect device-specific information (such as your Android Advertising ID) to serve personalized or non-personalized advertisements and to perform frequency capping and reporting.
3. Third Party Services
The Application uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:
The Service Provider does not sell, rent, or share your personal loyalty card data with any third-party marketing companies.
4. Data Deletion & User Rights
Partial data deletion: You can delete individual registered cards directly within the app at any time.
Open the card you want to remove, tap the red trash icon in the top-right corner, and confirm the deletion.
To request account and data deletion:
- Open the My Loyalty Cards app.
- Navigate to the Profile screen (top-right corner).
- Tap on Delete Account and Data.
- Confirm the deletion. Your data will be wiped instantly from our servers and removed locally from your device.
If you have already uninstalled the app, you may request deletion by emailing us at info@arcmed.ch
Please include your registered email address.
5. Security
The Service Provider uses industry-standard encryption and Firebase Security Rules to ensure that only you can access the data associated with your unique User ID.
6. Children's Privacy
The Application does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us for immediate removal.
7. International Data Rights
Users in the EEA or California have specific rights regarding their data (GDPR/CCPA). You may access, export, or delete your data via the Profile settings in the Application or by contacting us.
